“Keep the Fire Burning”

Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (I Thessalonians 5:16-22) NIV

So many times in life we feel as though we cannot continue on. Life happens and we get discouraged and our enthusiasm, our ‘fire for Christ’, seems to turn into a barely lit flame. While we are in these valleys of life we need to remember not only is God with us, but that He is working on our character while we are there. Anyone can feel powerful during a mountaintop experience with God. It is those who continue to seek God during their ‘down times’ that they will learn and grow the most. In Paul’s instructions to the people of Thessalonica, he urges them to ‘stay joyful, pray continually, be thankful in all circumstances and do not put out the Spirits’ fire. The only way to keep the fire burning is to continue to seek God, the One who lit the flame to begin with.

Grace Ministries want's to challenge you to be defermined to seek God no matter what happens in your life. God is always there for us, it's us that turn from Him!
